Free (or Cheap) Toddler and Baby Swim Times in Champaign-Urbana
Where families can take their little ones to swim during special times at area pools
Champaign-Urbana parents with a baby, toddler, and/or preschooler who loves the water: heads up. Did you know that your youngster can swim almost year round during special times set aside at area pools? Did you know that these swim times are often low-cost for young children – and sometimes even FREE? 
Water play is just what you need to make sure your child has a great afternoon nap! This is also a great way to socialize kids, spend time with friends, and meet new ones.
Please note that times, prices and availability are subject to change without notice. While we do our best to maintain this information, we collected this as of June 2019 for the current swim season.

TINY TOTS SPLASH TIME AT SHOLEM AQUATIC CENTER
Where: Sholem Aquatic Center, 2205 Sangamon Drive, Champaign
Who: For ages 0-5 with parent/guardian
What: We reviewed Tiny Tots Splash Time way back when! Tiny Tots Splash Time provides a wonderful opportunity for to spend some quality water play time with your little one and socialize with other parents and kids. Only the kiddie pool will be open during this time.
When: June 3- August 8, Monday-Friday, 7:30-11:45 a.m.; June 1-August 25*, Saturday and Sunday, 8:00-10:45 a.m. *No Program: 6/8, 6/15, 6/29, 7/4, 7/5, 7/20, 7/27*
How much: FREE for kids through age 3 with a paying adult. $4 for residents, $6 per non-residents or FREE for pool pass holders. Pay onsite per visit (no registration).
TODDLER SWIM TIME AT CRYSTAL LAKE FAMILY AQUATIC CENTER
Where: Urbana Park District’s Crystal Lake Park Family Aquatic Center, 1401 N. Broadway, Urbana
Who: For ages 5 and under with paying adult
What: Hang out with your kiddos in the areas of the pool that are friendly to kids 5 and under.
When: 8 to 11 a.m. weekdays, Monday through Friday, through August 19.
How much: Free for kids through age 3, $4 per person age 4 and up. If you want to come back during the afternoon/evening, please pay the full entry fee and get a wristband for re-entry. Max 3 kids per adult. Pro-tips: Hold on to your receipt, as the re-entry fee for an adult is typically $2. Have a punch card for the summer? Don’t use your daily $6 punch for the $4 Toddler Time entry. Save that $6 punch for another day! Questions? Call 217-239-7946.
TODDLER SWIM TIME AT URBANA INDOOR AQUATIC CENTER
Where: Urbana Indoor Aquatic Center
Who: For children up to age 5 and their grownups.
What: Enjoy a relaxing and calm atmosphere where your toddler can become more comfortable in the water with you by his or her side. The leisure pool will be open for you and your child to wade and explore during this special free swim.
When: Generally available when school is back in session, in the fall and spring, with August 12, 2019 being the first day for indoor Toddler Time. Questions? Call 217-384-7665.
How much: Free for kids through age 3, $4 per person age 4 and up. Max 3 kids per adult.
